Product Development Chef
Alisha is a multifaceted chef with a background in recipe development, nutrition education, and food sustainability. She has spent over 10 years in the food industry with a focus of bakery production and specializing in custom recipes. Alisha has worked with chefs, caterers, hospitals, and nonprofits to develop recipes to meet specific dietary restrictions and personal food preferences. Alisha has held a variety of leadership roles in nutrition education and public service. While working as a Nutrition Educator and Chef Instructor for Share Our Strength-Cooking Matters, she developed a Farm Tour proposal which resulted in a larger plan for advocacy and bolstered the organization's efforts to protect the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funding in the U.S. Farm Bill. Alisha started her career serving in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Structural Safety Mechanic where she maintained and inspected aircraft for military operations. After her honorable discharge, Alisha earned a B.S. in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University, and a master's degree in Sustainable Food Systems from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
